Celebrate a landmark moment in American numismatic history with the 2013-S ATB Proof Silver Quarter from the official U.S. Mint program—presented as a Peace Memorial Limited Edition Set coin and certified by NGC in PF-69 ULTRA CAMEO condition. Designed for collectors who appreciate both artistic beauty and meticulous production quality, this coin reflects the U.S. Mint’s commitment to striking modern Proof issues with breathtaking contrast, refined detail, and exceptional eye appeal.
The 2013 ATB (America the Beautiful) series honored America’s most iconic natural and historic sites, and the Peace Memorial theme stands out for its solemn tribute to remembrance. In this Proof quarter, the “S” mintmark signals the coin was produced at the U.S. Mint at San Francisco, where Proof planchets and dies are specially prepared to deliver the sharpest details and the signature mirror-like surfaces Proof coin collectors prize.
This offering is graded PF-69 ULTRA CAMEO by NGC, a designation that indicates intense frosting and outstanding contrast between the frosted devices and the mirror fields. For Proof quarters, the “Cameo” designation is one of the most sought-after finishing attributes—making the coin look exceptionally crisp in hand, under display lighting, and in high-resolution photography. When paired with the ULTRA CAMEO standard, collectors can expect a top-tier appearance that’s closer to perfection than to typical Proof strikes.
As part of a limited edition official set, this Peace Memorial quarter is more than just a coin—it’s a collectible artifact of the ATB program’s commemorative mission. Whether you’re building a complete ATB Proof registry run, investing in high-grade modern U.S. Mint issues, or simply looking for a visually impressive silver Proof, this certified piece is designed to satisfy both the collector’s eye and the long-term value mindset.
Note: Proof coins are struck multiple times with carefully polished dies and high-quality planchets, producing a unique “high-contrast” look every time. When you add NGC’s strict certification standards on top of that, you’re essentially holding an elite example of its specific year and series theme.
The America the Beautiful quarters were created to commemorate significant cultural, historic, and natural sites across the United States. While the overall ATB theme focuses on “discovering and celebrating” what makes America unique, the Peace Memorial theme adds a deeper emotional layer—honoring remembrance, reflection, and the spirit of peace. Collectors are often drawn to these ATB coins because each year’s issue captures a specific story through design symbolism, while still maintaining a consistent, recognizable quarter format.
In 2013, the Peace Memorial installment offered collectors a chance to own a Proof silver representation of the program’s broader mission. The ATB quarter’s design language is typically crafted to feel both modern and respectful—emphasizing legibility, composition, and relief that looks particularly striking on Proof coin surfaces.
Proof coins are manufactured with a purpose-built standard: they’re designed to show premium detail and stunning reflectivity. The PF-69 grade is especially important because it indicates that the coin is among the highest possible for typical Proof grading tiers at NGC—meaning it exhibits minimal to no noticeable imperfections when compared with lower-graded examples.
The ULTRA CAMEO designation elevates the coin’s visual impact. Cameo qualities are determined by how sharply devices stand out against mirror fields. In practical terms, an Ultra Cameo Proof often delivers stronger visual separation: the frosted elements appear crisp, while the reflective fields create a polished, glass-like backdrop. This is the type of finish that can make a coin feel almost “three-dimensional” under careful viewing.
Because this coin is associated with an official U.S. Mint limited edition set, it carries a collectible appeal that extends beyond the coin itself. Many modern collectors prioritize coins that are tied directly to U.S. Mint releases—especially when the theme is produced in a controlled quantity and presented with the official program branding. For those who prefer cohesive collections (year-by-year or theme-by-theme), set-based releases can make building a registry-style portfolio more satisfying.
This 2013-S ATB Proof silver quarter in NGC PF-69 ULTRA CAMEO is ideal for collectors who want a premium high-grade Proof with strong eye appeal. It’s also a compelling choice for anyone seeking a certified modern U.S. silver coin with strong market recognition and a clear place within the ATB narrative.
Whether you’re collecting the America the Beautiful series, chasing top-grade Proof contrast, or simply looking to own a beautiful Peace Memorial themed silver quarter with elite certification, this coin offers a combination that’s hard to match: a high-demand mint, a premium Proof finish, and a top-tier NGC grade.
If you’re searching for a standout modern Proof silver quarter that blends commemoration, premium surfaces, and elite grading, the 2013-S ATB Proof Silver Quarter Peace Memorial NGC PF-69 ULTRA CAMEO limited edition set coin is a strong choice—one that delivers both the meaning of the theme and the visual quality Proof coin enthusiasts look for.
